The number of blockchain companies continues to grow strongly in Switzerland
The number of blockchain companies in Switzerland and Liechtenstein has increased by 14 percent since 2023 and has now been a total of 1749 companies. This emerges from a study published on Wednesday by the Beteiligungsgesellschaft CV VC. In the past five years, the number of companies has more than doubled.
With 719 companies, the Zug region remains particularly popular as the “center of the crypto Valley”, according to the study. This is followed by Zurich (264), the Tessin (103) and Geneva (85). Liechtenstein also has 68 companies from the crypto industry thanks to advantageous regulatory framework.
According to the study, the industry is broadly positioned. In addition to infrastructure projects (20%), financial services (18%), advice (17%) as well as security and audit solutions (8%) are important pillars of the local blockchain industry. New fields such as the area of gaming, NFTs and meta -offs would also become increasingly important.
