21Shares brings Hedera Hbar ETP to the SIX

The Swiss crypto ETP provider 21Shares has expanded its product range with another investment vehicle: the 21shares Hedera ETP (HDRA). The fund depicts the native cryptocurrency.

In this way, investors receive regulated access to Hedera hashgraph technology, which positions itself as energy-efficient and high-performance alternative to conventional blockchains.

Hedera – DLT for company use

Hedera Hashgraph, Hedera for short, is a public, open-cast Distributed-Ledger technology (DLT), which was specially developed for use in companies. Unlike classic blockchains, Hedera relies on a so-called hashgraph architecture, which enables significantly higher transaction speeds, lower costs and minimal energy consumption. Under test conditions, the network reaches a throughput rate of up to 500,000 transactions per second (TPS) – a top value compared to the rest of the market. The network effectively handles around 10 TPs on the Mainet.

Hedera's governance is borne by well -known global corporations. The Governing Council consists of Google, IBM, LG, Dell and Deutsche Telekom, among other things. This structure combines company -friendly stability with a clear roadmap towards decentralization and trust at the scaling level.

Hbar-the backbone of the Hedera economy

The native token Hbar acts as a central means of payment in the Hedera ecosystem. It is used to carry out transactions, Smart Contracts to operate and pay network fees. In addition, HBAR will also be increasingly used for staking and network protection in the future. The combination of speed, security and energy efficiency makes Hbar one of the most interesting tokens for institutional use cases.

A central argument for Hedera is its energy efficiency. The energy consumption per transaction is only 0.000003 kWh-according to 21shares, this is around 1,000 times less than with a visa transaction. Hedera is thus positioning itself particularly attractive for applications in the area of sustainable digital infrastructure and tokenized ESG initiatives.

With the new Hedera ETP, investors can invest easily and regulated in Hbar – directly via their bank or broker. The ETP offers liquid and secure access to the Hedera network without the need for technical knowledge.
