Bitget Wallet Teams Up with Mastercard to Launch Crypto-Powered Payment Card

Bitget Wallet has received a strategic partnership with Mastercard and the Web3 payment provider Immersve to launch a new payment card with which users can spend cryptocurrencies directly from their digital wallets.

The step aims to accelerate the introduction of cryptocurrencies in the real world by merging traditional financial infrastructures with web3 technology.

Global introduction begins in Great Britain and the EU

According to a press release, The Block made available the card will initially be available for users in Great Britain and the European Union, with an expansion to Latin America, Australia and New Zealand planned in the coming months. The payment card is compatible with over 150 million dealers worldwide who accept Mastercard – both online and in the shop.

Immediate access via the Bitget Wallet app

Users can receive a digital version of the card via the Mobile App Bitget Wallet. The product supports payments in both physical retailers and on e-commerce platforms so that users can spend cryptocurrencies without having to exchange money in Fiat currency.

In addition, users receive access to various incentives, including:

  • Transaction -based premiums
  • Generization of earnings on unused wallet credit
  • A unique bonus for carrying out the identity examination (KYC)
  • Bring cryptocurrencies into everyday life

Jamie Elkaleh, Chief Marketing Officer from Bitget Wallet, emphasized the importance of cooperation:

“Crypto payments should be just as seamless and safe as conventional transactions. Thanks to this partnership, Bitget Wallet users can now pay for with cryptocurrencies where Mastercard is accepted.”

Elkaleh added that the growing demand from users after practical use cases in the real world drives the innovation in this sector and this new card provides the necessary infrastructure to combine cryptocurrencies with daily trade.

A broader trend towards web3 payment solutions

The partnership follows a trend in which large financial institutions check the integration of Web3. Mastercard has steadily expanded its initiatives in the field of digital assets, while companies develop backend systems as Immersve to enable on-chain payments that are billed at the cash register in Fiat currency.

With the introduction of this card, Bitget Wallet positions itself at the top of the movement to make cryptocurrencies usable beyond the blockchain – directly at the cash register.
