Cardano announces one of the largest airdrops for private investors in the history of cryptocurrencies

Charles Hoskinson has announced new developments for Cardanos upcoming data protection-oriented Sidechain Midnight, including a large-scale multi-chain airdrop initiative, which is aimed directly at private users.
At the Castensus 2025 in Toronto, the founder of Cardano announced that Midnight will distribute two new tokens-Night (for governance) and Dust (for private transactions)-in over 37 million wallets in eight large blockchain ecosystems, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP and Cardano itself. are completely excluded from the airdrop.
In contrast to typical token launches, the Glacier drop will avoid institutional allocations and instead only reward everyday users who, after the distribution, have full control over trade or holding the tokens.
Midnight is currently in the testnet phase and is scheduled to go live at the end of 2025. The Sidechain was not only developed to improve privacy, but also to promote interoperability by developing the payment of fees with native
Token from other chains such as BTC or ETH enables – which make it superfluous.
By aligning the incentives across ecosystems, Midnight is intended to serve as a collaborative level for cross -chain development and at the same time maintain privacy in transactions.
