Continuation of a success story – Forbes

Good and gladly speaking here of an extraordinary country and generational project: When Österreichische Post AG released its first Crypto Stamp in a circulation of 150,000 in June 2019, its success could only be guessed. To date, far more than a million crypto stamps have been spent and classic philatelists such as crypto fans are excited alike. The digital collectibles not only expanded traditional stamp collections by a modern piece – they were revolutionized.

In the past six years, Crypto Stamp-Nfts have been bought, exchanged and traded; Particularly rare pieces even resold a lot of the original price. In addition, the collaboration of the Swiss Post with internationally known NFT artists as part of the “Crypto Stamp Art” was steadily expanding. This focus on digital art and the successful cooperation with internationally known NFT artists (such as Fvckrender or Hackatao) will continue due to the enormous interest of the international collector community 2025.

Fans of the Italian artist duo Hackatao after a first successful collaboration in 2024 with Österreichische Post AG (with the motives for Empress Elisabeth – “Sisi” – and her husband, Emperor Franz Joseph I), will be pleased that there will be new Crypto Stamp Art from June 4 (at 10 a.m.).

Following the characteristics of hackataos work, the new crypto stamp art will once again combine Austrian motifs with digital elements. According to “Sisi” and “Franzl” this year, the iconic Hollywood Aktrice and brilliant scientist Hedy Lamarr and the immortal, ingenious and many contemporaries will be acquired on “digital stamps” as a very cheerful composer and musician Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The four crypto stamps will again be released this year at a total of 10,000 analog stamps (2,500 per motif) with suitable digital twins. And a so -called soulbound token was also used at this year's Crypto Stamp Art, which serves as a certificate of authenticity for the physical crypto stamp. The physical and digital version are therefore connected forever, which means that a wallet-to-wallet transfer is not possible.

The design of this year's Crypto Stamp Art is similarly detailed as those of the motives from 2024. The most important data and achievements of the two legendary personalities are recorded and their dual living environments with a wink are shown. The small works of art are available for EUR 21.80 in the Crypto Stamp-Onlineshop at
shop.crypto.post.at. Similar to last year, a big rush to the start of sales is expected: the Crypto Stamp type of artist duo from December 2024 was sold out in just two months, so interested parties should be retired.

The success concept of the Crypto Stamps is very general that they not only address young new buyers familiar with cryptocurrencies and blockchain, but also cause a traditional, more stubborn clientele of the philately to devote themselves to the digital stamp. Because the Crypto Stamp perfectly combines traditional stamp collecting with the possibilities of the latest technologies, not least because the most important properties of the stamp – their authenticity, uniqueness and scarcity – as well as the previous owners are saved in the digital twin of the stamp, the NFT.

The entire crypto stamp product portfolio It is divided into three categories:
(1) Crypto Stamp: This range includes a) The “Classic Crypto Stamps”, these are international editions and crypto comic characters, and b) the “special editions” with Crypto Stamp Gold Editions and Crypto Stamp Safes.

(2) Crypto Stamp Art: These special editions contain Crypto Stamps, which focus on digital works that are designed by renowned digital artists.

(3) Crypto Stamp Coin: This category includes Crypto Stamps in combination with fine medals or coins.

The acquisition of one or more crypto stampS is simple or the entry hurdle in the Crypto Stamp market is kept in an exemplary and inclusive manner, so that everyone-even remaining digital-can participate in it and thus have fun. The crypto stamps are quickly acquired: either you go to one of the selected post office or directly to the Crypto Stamp-Onlineshop and shop in euros or crypto-depending on the preference (see also the explanatory graphic).

The physical stamps can be taken with them immediately or delivered by post if it has been shopped online – the digital twin comes with its own wallet. If there is already a wallet, the new NFT can be transferred to the old wallet; complete. Each crypto stamp is provided with a serial number stored on the blockchain, i.e. identifier and the owner. Actually everything as usual, only now in digital, technologically modern execution. But not enough!

The changing motifs And the numerous possibilities that are offered with the introduction to the Crypto Stamp world arouse curiosity of young and older philatelists alike and open up new methods of digital exchange and expand their own digital collection.

From now on – and this will make the collector's heart beat faster – the new product series starts with the Crypto Stamp Comic characters “Aurora Sparks” and “Kabosu”, both of which build on the great success of the comic “Crypto Stamp Island”. These comic hero now get their own crypto stamps-a physical stamp with digital twin (NFT) on the blockchain. This new edition includes both new characters and known figures with different forces. Each of these comic characters is unique and gives the collections an individual status. The edition is limited with 7,500 pieces per motif. “Aurora Sparks” and “Kabosu” are available at a price of 9.90 euros each in the Crypto Stamp-Onlineshop, the collector service, in the Onchain Store and at the sales outlets in selected post office from Austriaische Post AG.

But not only your own collection should expand steadily, it is also nice if the community around the Crypto Stamps and the Crypto Stamp Art does it. Starting from Austria, Post AG is working across bodies with the Post of the Netherlands, the Post of Luxembourg and since July 2024 also with Belgium's Post together on Crypto Stamp Editions; Finally, for example with the Crypto Stamp dragon.

Each of the four countries designs its own dragons in five different digital colors – that is, with all digital twins, the buyer can collect a total of 20 digital twins. The Austrian crypto stamp kites are available at a price of 9.90 euros in the post office, in the collector service and in the online shop on shop.crypto.post.at and in the post-online shops of the respective countries. And: In autumn 2025, Portugal also belongs to the international crypto Stamp family. In addition, the Comic Character Collection is also to be expanded this year. Last, but not least: Austriaische Post AG is again at the start at this year's Vienna Comic Con (from 22nd to 11th to 23rd 11th, 2025) at the start – and promises to present new things.
