MetaPlanet almost doubles Bitcoin stocks in seven weeks and now holds 7.800 BTC

The Japanese investment company MetAplanet quickly expands its Bitcoin engagement and has disclosed a new purchase of 1.004 BTC in its latest report.
The Acquisitionwhich was completed at an average price of 15.13 million yen per coin (approx. $ 105,000), increases the company's Bitcoin reserves to a total of 7,800 BTC.
The recent purchase worth around 15.19 billion yen (or $ 105.5 million) was confirmed in an official message signed by Simon Gerovich, the managing director of Metabanet. The total investment of the company in Bitcoin has now exceeded 105 billion yen (around $ 732 million), whereby the average acquisition costs are 13,51 million yen per coin.
The pace of accumulation is remarkable. MetaPlanet has added 3.754 BTC to its cash register since the beginning of April – almost a doubling of its position of 4.046 BTC at the end of March. In almost three weeks in May alone, the company acquired over 2,200 BTC and thus increased its 5.555 BTC existing on May 7 to 7.800 BTC on May 19.
According to the company, this aggressive expansion was financed by a mixture of capital market instruments and internal cash flow. MetaPlanet officially introduced its Bitcoin trasury operations as a core business area in December 2024 and has since positioned BTC as the central pillar of his corporate strategy.
Since Bitcoin is becoming increasingly important for institutional actors, the rapid accumulation of Metaplanet indicates that the company focuses on long -term price gains and wants to secure a position among the largest public keepers of cryptocurrency.
